Every time Mach3 starts, all axes must be referenced. This ensures that the software knows the position of the machine.

Before you start, you must know the keyboard layout for controlling your milling machine (manual moving).

1.) Deactivate the "Soft Limits"

green border - activated              black border - deactivated

2.) Move the respective axes X, Y, and Z close to the reference switches by manual moving (with the keyboard layout of your choice). The reference switches always sit on the axle ends where the stepper motors are mounted.

3.) Press the button "REF ALL HOME". During the first drive, have the emergency stop button ready and check the correctness of the referencing.

4.) The milling machine moves the axes one after the other. As soon as an axis has been referenced, the border lights up green.

5.) Now all axes X, Y and Z are referenced.

6.) Now activate the "Soft Limits".
